Through our Bright Futures Bundle, participants will engage in a hands-on team build experience, assembling solar solutions that provide safe, reliable light to communities in need. Throughout the session, teams will explore the realities of energy poverty, and discover how simple, innovative solar solutions are transforming lives around the world.

Bright Futures Bundle plays a pivotal role in advancing digital inclusion by providing solar-powered USB charging ports that ensure students and families in underserved communities can keep essential devices operational. The bundle features two solar-powered head torches, providing essential hands-free illumination that empowers families to study, cook and navigate evening chores with safety and ease.

This reliable source of power helps bridge the digital divide by enabling access to online educational resources, digital communication tools, and market information. By facilitating connectivity, Bright Futures Bundle empowers individuals to participate in the digital economy, access learning opportunities, and improve their overall quality of life, fostering greater inclusion in the digital world regardless of geographical or economic barriers.

How it works

Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, this program includes a compelling presentation, assembly of the devices within the Bright Futures Bundle by each participant and connecting with communities living in energy poverty with a letter writing activity which will be packaged as a gift!

At the end of this session, the Bright Futures Bundles are returned and checked that all are correctly assembled, before their journey begins to a distribution country. SolarBuddy’s NGO Partner distributes the gift of light into the hands of children living in energy poverty.
